assumptions about American beer preferences. From the overwhelming dominance of
Miller across the country to the regional strongholds of brands like Coors in the West and
Guinness in select eastern states, the data paints a fascinating picture of America's beer

Miller's Nationwide Dominance: Miller emerged as the undisputed leader,
ranking as the most searched beer brand in 30 states -- representing 60% of the
country.
Western Fondness for Coors: Coors secured the second position, leading in 8
states. Notably, this includes Western states renowned for warm weather and
outdoor activities.
Guinness' Surprising Popularity: Despite being an Irish stout in a country
typically associated with lighter lagers, Guinness topped searches in three states,
two of which are in the South.
Budweiser Brands' Limited Geographic Appeal: Despite their massive
advertising presence, Budweiser and Bud Light only led searches in four states
combined. The 2023 controversy surrounding Bud Light may have had something
to do with this.
Regional Variation: The Northeast shows the most diverse preferences while

For a brief period of time in the early 80's, Strohs was imported to CA. It was excellent. So was Heilman's Old Style. Great stuff. By 1989 or so, all gone.
Then Henry Weinharts disappeared.

For a summer beer, I drink PBR. Have for years. At least since I saw Blue Velvet back in 1986.

IMO, and based on sampling, coors light is the greatest departure from beer taste I have encountered.
Kinda like a discount beer mixed with 90% water, left out in the sun for a week.
