I think there was a study that showed that talking to houseplants showed positive effects. Mid '70s IIRC.

Haven't a clue to how valid the science was.

I learned about this in school. Interesting that when I was in a happy relationship in the 80s, the plants in my house were crazy healthy. I started dating a cheating ho and my plants all died.
