Can we please stop making every thread about politics?

It’s getting tiresome. I’m over it.

If you’re in a thread that has nothing to do with politics, stop bringing politics into it.

If you feel you cannot help yourself, start your own separate thread in PR and politicize it up to your hearts desire.

Respectfully, these days, politics are involved and behind just about everything from the price of food and gas, the crime rate, real estate costs, the stock market, pretty much everything. And the more divisive this country has become, the more obvious it is. It's 1000% more prevalent than even 10 years ago, when we were pretty much still a 'normal' country.

IMHO, VBOT has done significantly better about not posting political threads in OT. Not perfect, but certainly headed in the right direction, a work in progress. I think the real issue here is, we have lost our way about what's funny, a clever quip here and there, and what is just unpleasant and nasty. That's what we probably should focus on. Several member have all out hate for others, almost to the point of blinding rage, like Rotor hating Canadians.....that kind of anger.

It would probably be better for those folks to simply make the choice to not interact with each other, unless they can do so with some modicum of respect.

Not to get political (pun intended), but that's probably easier for me, because my whole life I've been treated like the autistic retarded kid by EVERYONE when I tell them I'm libertarian. That kind of forces you to try and get along with people, they already think your weird as shit.

Good points about the all out hatred. It may be a case where some are using any and every thread to take jabs at people they don’t care for.

I also lean more libertarian, so I get it. Most of us here read the room when it comes to threads that have absolutely nothing to do with politics. Most, not all.

That's exactly the case, they are intolerant of any opinion outside theirs and use VB's open policy to attack those folks at will. This country was based on the freedom to have opinions, funny they forget that sometimes when they're waving their flags.

There are a few here that hate me with every fiber of their pitiful being, following me around like wounded puppies. I come here for the laughs, and they are most useful to me in that category.
