My free period ended last week. Had it for 3 years with the previous vehicle. I think I'll miss it, but I'm going to try going without. Now that I'm retired, I just don't drive as much.

I've had it in almost every car I've owned over the last 10 years. I've had factory radios with the service, aftermarket receivers, even 1 of the portables for a while.

In hundreds of thousands of miles, I can count on 1 hand the number of times it has "faded", and each of those was for an obvious reason... tunnels, mountains, etc.

It's more than I'd like to pay for it, but in the end I'd rather have it than not.

Only listen to a few stations, but local radio sucks. And is even worse living in the suburbs where the only channels I want to listen to fade out.

If you don't like it, it makes no difference to me but that has to be about the worst argument I have ever heard. Your complaint is that it doesn't work when you are in the garage and tunnels? Really? It's satellite based... what exactly do you expect to happen in those situations?

I drive >20k miles a year, much of which is out of town. I always have ESPN, I always know where to find whatever music I feel like listening to. It may cut out for the 30 seconds of a 15 hour drive that I am in a tunnel, but it works in a hell of a lot more places than over the air radio works. Worth every penny as far as I'm concerned.

My annual cost for XM in 3 cars for a year is less than the cost of a tank of gas.

and the fight for my 9 extra months when i bought the car continues. they have already charged my card after the 3 months. getting ready to cancel all 3 accounts if they dont get this fixed, which sucks, because we do enjoy the service.

Mine has been gone. I don't miss it at all. I axed sattelite service for the tv too. Miss it a little because I like watching college football, but other than that, don't care. We have netflix, so it doesn't make much difference.
