He had a "mutal agreement" to part ways with Al-Anabi racing three years into his five year contract. Both sides are friendly and mum on the circumstances. I would bet he is still being paid, bat can't contract with anyone else for now. I think he will be back as soon as next year (possibly sooner) as a team owner/driver. He's too good to not have people not want to put money behind him. He's well-liked, is good on camera and a fantastic driver. All the things a sponsor looks for.

Del Worsham also left Al-Anabi to retire from driving and crew chief a Funny Car. I think that's been his dream for a long time, and after finally winning a championship, he felt it was time.

There was a pretty spectacular Top Alcohol Dragster crash - nobody hurt. I'm sure they will show it tonight. Pics at competitionplus.com, which is a good site for drag racing news.
