Default Thx Taurus

I was at deer camp with my son this weekend and started feeling a bit strange. I told my son and when we got home he told my wife who made me check my blood pressure. The thing wouldn't give a good reading but was evident that it was high. She took me to a OKC heart hospital and before I knew it I was admitted with wires coming out everywhere. I spent 2 days there and I have to admit this set me back mentally. I remembered Jon's other forum that he moderates and I PM'd him. Jon helped me understand what they were doing and what to expect. I am extremely grateful for his help and want you guys to know.

The tests came out looking pretty good and will most likely only have to change diet and take a couple pills from now on. So you guys will have to put up with me for quite a while.

Again, Thanks Jon.

Glad your are ok. The human body is an awesome machine, it works perfect and at his basic
levels. Once a hormone level, a vitamin or anything goes below we feel it right away.

Remember, no one cares about you, but you, like you. Imagine you are your own Corvette.

Yea, it's a nickname they gave me where I volunteer, it kind of stuck I'm afraid.

Even though mine was relatively minor in the grand scheme of things it does give reason for pause. Before we got the final analysis all kinds of scenarios were running through my mind. My wife has had several events that landed us in the hospital in the past few years but this is the first time in my life other than tonsils at 2 or 3 yrs old.

Things like this really put things in persective.July 2010 I spent a week in Critical Care with a Pulimary Embolism...Really makes you think. Now I just take my "rat poison" every day and changed some bad habits.
I got lucky.... Glad your OK

Ditto for me too. I have a protein C deficiency. Never heard of it until I had a blood clot in my leg. So now I'm also on rat poison, taking it since 1997 when I had the clot.

Good to hear you are okay.
