What's up with SS checks?

I always got my social security retirement checks on the second Wednesday of the month. For the last two months I got it on the first Friday of the month. I checked the SS schedule and those with birthdays between the 1st and 10th are still scheduled to get payment on the 2nd Weds.

Yes...I do. It's really not a big deal, but I'm just use to the way it was and curious as to why the change.

Probably around the deficit limit. They are playing games. Our tax refund is usually within a week of filing, been a month now waiting on the refund.

Mine was on the 2nd Wednesday in Jan and Feb.
I'll let you know if it's still that way Wednesday the 8th.

And while we're at it;
Why is it pronounced Whensday? The spelling is Wed-nes-day.

They're too busy buggering each other. I haven't got last years refund yet. Got confirmation they're aware of it when they sent me an interest earnings form to use with my next filing. Never received said interest payment however, so apparently they expect me to pay taxes on an IOU?
