Beer night, bar talk

I'm in a beer league at my local hill, which is 6 consecutive Mondays starting in January. Been doing this for ten years at least. Afterwards most of us end up in the bar enjoying $9 beers. For a $50 entrance fee we also get a free meal after all of the 6 races.

I got there a early, got a 16 oz draft, and sat at a table alone waiting for my friends to show up. An attractive blonde, probably 30, then sat down at the table next to mine. I ignored her, filled a plate with NC style BBQ and a pile of fresh-made slaw and then sat back down.

A guy, late 40's, sat down next to the blonde to chat her up. I couldn't help but overhear most of the conversation. He was hitting and she was tossing soft balls. Really dumb talk, like I've been to blah blah blah. Guy was a real creeper, eating it up for about ten minutes. Then she decided that she'd had enough and mentioned her BF.

The guy excused himself for the mens room maybe ten seconds later and never returned.

Took my Grand-daughter to a Bucks game last year (well actually, she took me. She won tickets thru a school fund raiser).
$14.00 plus tax (5%) for a tall boy beer (16 oz). And the seller want's a tip yet too.

"Resort pricing." It is what it is. After tip it's $11.

I asked a non-skier buddy of mine to join us there, and his reply was 'let's meet later in the week at Lowes Foods'. Meaning Thursday, when pints are half off.

Last big event I went to was TSO in Dec 2021. A beer was about $15 and a margarita (elongated tall plastic cup that looks like a bone) with double shot of rum or tequilla was $25

Guess which one my date wanted.... Man, that chick was a PITA.
