What happened to Amazon delivery?

I can't remember the last time I've seen an Amazon delivery van (except on here, of course ). Everything now comes either through the US mail or from UPS. Have they given up on that little experiment?

Cheaper for Amazon to clog up the USPS system than have their own fleet or use FedX or UPS.

See AmmoZone trucks all the time in this burb......but I suspect they delivering just the larger packages, the lady across the street orders lotsa crap from them, and it's mostly large packages, and yes smaller stuff is USPS and also on the door landing, with UPS/FedEx......

Do you by chance live in a rural area? They typically keep the stuff they can efficiently deliver and pass off the pain in the ass stuff, which is why FedEx chose to not renew the contract a couple of years back.

I thought it was Amazon who dumped Fedex because FE was so unreliable with slow and missed deliveries and damage and theft control issues?

when you live 90 miles north of nowhere in north bum**** USA they use the USPS. Here in civilization, they use their own trucks and have an order in with Rivian for 100,000 new electric trucks.

I am in the sticks and have been seeing the opposite the Amazon sin bin has been packing my driveway lately. UPS and fedx think it's OK to dump at the end of the driveway. I have been giving them hell for that bullshit.

My postal carrier told me they've now contracted with USPS, and now her route that pays 9 1/2 hours is taking her over 11......She just got the time down too.

Who is REALLY paying them for Sun. work? Do they get a separate check from Amazon? Or are they getting double time from the .gov?

Are we footing the bill as taxpayers and customers both?

Fake news. Amazon poached a bunch of FedEx operators that got them more efficient. Number one was keeping the easy to deliver shit and dumping the crap that incurred extra cost to the other carriers. When FedEx trucks starting looking like moving trucks full of couches going to Bum****, Idaho, FedEx pulled the plug.

Given the central location in CO, Amazon finished a 3.5 million sqft fulfillment center in town. Add to that a huge center in Denver. The few things that come USPS are typically envelope or very small box size. Non-prime stuff may come UPS. The Amazon van is in the neighborhood every day.

Yeah, I'm kinda rural, but used to see them in my hood all the time. Now, not hardly ever. The few times I've actually gotten a package delivered by them lately, it was a guy driving his own car.
