I got a thank you letter that said I would be receiving recognition in the Spring edition of the NCM magazine. That never happened. I don't care, as I don't do what I do for people to thank me.

IC started the thread about what the Forum charity should be for VB. He's a big supporter of the NCM, thus I will support the NCM. Has nothing to do with Adam, Jesse, Robert, you, Liz, or anyone else. It's my choice.

Yeah, you let the boy named Liz drive your car. That is still a to me as to why they did that. (Listed Liz as a male, I mean.)

Damn, so good (or not so good) stories in here. I had often wondered what happened to a member (the Monk, Apex, etc) but never asked since asking would result in a ban, which I never understood. If someone did something wrong to get them banned, wouldn't you want to know what they did so you wouldn't do the same thing?

Anyway, like mentioned, I'm here (and there) for the people. Over the years I've developed a "friendship" with many of the regular's. While it is the Vette that originally brought us all together, its the people that make you want to stay (or leave ).

As for the fundraising and donations...... I tend to donate what I can to my local organizations. While I agree many might be "over funded" or have national exposure, its my choice to pick which organization will receive my donations. In my perfect world, a different organization would be the "organization of choice" for that year. They would be chosen based upon need and that being the place with the most need. Wheather they help with disease, providing food for family's in need, shelter (for women, vets, etc), rape victims, what ever. A different charity would be picked each year so not one organization would "expect" it year after year and the wealth could be spread around for all the many causes out there.

FWIW, I haven't been permabanned, but I haven't posted over there in days. It was already to the point where I'd spend maybe 1-5 minutes a day looking threads over, and very few were of interest.

I havent been there 10 years but more like 5 but it is strange there now, no substance to any conversation. I guess I fly pretty low because I havent had anything but a "change your location" once because I put it as: 'If I were up your azz you'd know where I was'. I thought it was funny, apparently others still wouldnt be able to find me.
