Seriously, I've been on 3 cruises, Caribbean, Hawaii, Mexico, on Viking, and they were excellent. This was 30+ years back.

My aunt was supposed to go on an Alaska cruise with my parents in October but looks like she is backing out for various petty reasons. Tickets for cruise and the flight have already been purchased, non-refundable, but transferable. Mom and Dad asked if I wanted to go and I'm considering it, but I honestly don't know if I want to be stuck with just the two of them for over a week.

You should do it. PLENTY of room to spread out. You can control your time with them like I used to do with my parents. Meet for breakfast, split up, meet for dinner, maybe do a day activity or two. No need to be joined at the hip. Everybody who has been on an Alaskan cruise raves about it.

There are two cruises I wish to repeat and Alaska land (buss & train) and sea time is one. A Panama Canal cruise is another. When I say Canal I mean the whole long cruise from east cost to west coast, not a half way and turn around cheater cruise!

Add a fourth. Somebody that you can chill with and divide time with and without the folks.

But i would regret it in the present. They are so indecisive, short tempered, and and dad throws a fit every time he can't micromanage something or anything his way and only his way or he'll purposely **** up a vacation, trip, or family get together. He's done it just about every time the last 20 years or so and it gets worse each time.

Can't do that with certainty. The cruise is booked to capacity and I'd have to get somebody on a waiting list. Plus, there's not too many chicks I know that I'd consider helping out financially to afford a trip like this or who could afford to go period. Shit, if I do go, I'm forking over about $5K or so just for myself. Honestly, I'd rather put that $$$ towards a new vette.

Nix's the unwashed mass's on cruise ships. I have been to Europe
on Viking river boats, They are nice but if you are not use to first class
you probably would not fit in.
I guess, count me out on this adventure.

This cruise would be about 'embracing the suck'. Arguments, debates, confrontations, practical jokes, dodgeball, boxing bouts, etc. Also, excessive drinking and possible drug use. You never know.

Crap! I just thought of this: Doug could serve us all at once if he found out we were all on the same cruise ship! It would be very easy for his lawyer to have subpoenas delivered to one location vs all over the United States. Crap.
