I have a made in the USA Ariens snow thrower, so I do it. The smallest one that they make. That job took me all of 20 minutes.

The Ranger has 4WD and an electronic locking rear differential, so it's my go-to when the roads are slippery. The Porch is AWD, has an off-road mode, and I have my winter set of wheels/ tires. It's a capable vehicle, but not on par with the Zippy truck.

Where I lived in upstate NY that would be considered a small storm. I've seen them nearly 20' tall, worked with a Gradall and loaded with an auger fed conveyor into trucks for disposal elsewhere.

I can see the Sierras from my street and there is a lot of snow up there. Have spent a lot of time in the Sierras and the White Mountains and Panamints and the elevations are no joke. Many feet can fall in a single storm. Donner Party shit. We got snowed in at an abandoned cabin in the Panamints in the late '90's and were stuck for 3 days. Only about 5000 feet elevation. The place was weathertight, had a great old stove, and we had a ton of supplies, so it was pretty cool. On the 4th day, there was enough melt to see the trail so we could wheel out of there.
