The only Razr worth getting is the Maxx because the Maxx comes with the extended battery. The Razr is basically a compact version of the Droid Bionic which I have. The original battery with the Droid Bionic lasts about 4 hours on performance mode, and 7 hours on max battery saver mode. I purchased two extended batteries, and the battery is good for 7 hours Performance mode, and about 12 hours on the max battery mode.
I only keep the phone in the max battery saving mode, and the latest update fixed the network cutoff problem that occurs after 15 minutes of standby so it is good at saving the battery.

Also you need to download App Killer so it kills all the unused applications. I have my settings on Auto Kill Level Crazy. Without it the phone is a paper weight.

The Razr Maxx has a nicer layout though than the Bionic.

Check Motorolas website. You can save some loot. I saved 50$ on my Razr Maxx when it first came out. They accept your upgrade offer from cell providers.

BTW, my razr Maxx is tits. The nav feature was a life saver this weekeend finding my brothers house in NC that was built a year ago. My JVC nav unit I installed and updated Friday can't find shit unless it has been there 5 years.

Me too! Love mine! I DID do the upgrade to the Razr Max for the extra battery power since I travel so much.

ETA: When you call to buy one, simply ask them if they can waive the activation fee. Sometimes they will do it, if you schmooze them a little and get a rapport with them.
Works about half the time for me!

Once you learn how to shutoff apps that are running in the background, and set it to CDMA only network coverage when you don't need 4G, It can last almost two weeks.

Ordered one yesterday online (last day of the mothersday promo). Went with the white one.. Something different. Hell it matches the car.I guess i was due for an upgrade or some shit because all i had to pay was the $30 activation.

Well went to look at a new battery for my Droid X...$72 so I got the razor for $20 more. So far love it . Did not know about the MAXX at the time so I did not get it.
Razor is very fast and getting about 30 hours out of the battery.
I am on email all the time so I cant complain

Just got my Droid Razr on Saturday. I had the Thunderbolt.

The battery life on the Razr is supposed to be much, much better. So far, it seems that is true. I didn't want to pay the $200 more they wanted for the Razr Maxx which has even more battery life.

There was a special on the Razr, and I traded in the Thunderbolt. Net price was $25. However, Verizon also charges $30 for you to change phones (I think that's the right amount), plus I had to buy a new case. All my home and car chargers are the same as with the Thunderbolt, so that's good!
