Many sites have a 15 minute rule about late bidding, however there are some sophisticated bidding 'bots' that bid automatically for a bidder. Don't always assume the 'action' you see is from actual organic bidders....

I have a nephew that actually makes a living out of bots snagging big-name tennis shoes, computer graphic cards, Taylor Swift tickets, etc off auction/vendor sites. He resells then for crazy profit.

His parents think he's a genius and get pizzed when I say he's nothing but a 'scalper' and that's not a real job. Retailer Target won't deliver goods to his address anymore because they blocked him so he uses a girlfriend's address for his nefarious dealings.

I'm supposed to like the kid I guess - he's a slimeball IMO. I make no secret of my disdain..

And another in his 30's who owns a home, has several hundred in his savings, drives a new car...and married an outstanding, smart and beautiful young lady.
Nephew #1...no dad in the home growing up or in his life.
Nephew #2...dad at home and a big part of his life.
Funny how that is.
