I know the purists poo-poo everything after The Wall, or maybe The Final Cut (which was a weak album), but the later albums, like Delicate Sound of Thunder, were.....less depressing. Obviously not as classic as, their heyday, DSotM, Animals, Wish You were Here, etc., but damn good in their own right.

The early albums had the reoccurring theme of Syd and I guess that sounds depressing to some.
I happen to like the early stuff and lost interest after the wall. I actually don’t like the wall nearly as much as the previous records.
