You are onto something.

The C7Z, and I also believe the C7 GS, come with 335/25/20 rears.
There are a few options for 335/30/20, including Michelins and Pirellis.
Michelin offers both 4S and Cup2 345/30/20.

I have yet to crack a wheel in 32K miles, when I do, and order wheels, I will probably replace tires with a 30 sidewall.
