Got a taste of how lame CFOT has gotten

I wonder sometimes if the tight limits being imposed over there are part of an overall effort to push CF back towards an automotive tech focus, and to gradually shut *any* OT discussions (political or not) down. I'm guessing there's little sponsorship $$ to be made in OT.

Many of us were banned on the tech forums, not on OT. I was on the C1-C2 forums for about 7 years before I ever knew about or visited OT. The whole site is rotten to the core. Not just the OT section. Vettebuyer6369 is a cowardly version of Cumdawg.

If that was their goal, they could simply delete that section of the forum with a few mouse clicks - no need for such games.

I'm sure they'd get a LOT of complaints if they just outright deleted the OT areas, but if they get them to self-destruct with a whimper, it wouldn't be such a noticeable change. OT is already threatening to be the most popular section on CF; that probably doesn't sit well with IB.

Up or down doesn't matter, as long as they get clicks and views they are happy. It's all about having a value to the advertisers. They make no revenue from CF outside of advertising.
