Steve Buscemi was an FDNY fireman before hitting it big as an actor.
He was in NY on 9/11 and went to his old station to help for a few days until they got a handle on everything in their area.

Well - Alvin Bragg will jump on this as soon as he is done persecuting Trump...

Most victims of inner city random crime are complacent; I worked in downtown DC for years and situational awareness is paramount. Many "street people" are harmless but some are on the edge with drugs and/or mental issues and stray thought away from assaulting a stranger. Never had any trouble - apparently I have a face that says "don't f*ck with me" but was vigilant just the same.

Same here, but in Boston. Carrying a full face motorcycle helmet by the fastend chin strap helps as well.
