Some Beach: Palm Beach County has become Broward County

Visited my Mom for the weekend, first time in Palm Beach county in a couple years, and ho-lee-shit, it's a cluster****. Traffic, congestion, development of every square inch of green space, I can't believe (yes I can) how much it's changed for the worse.

Got some prospective buyers coming to look at my business this week, which would be pretty awesome if it works out. If not, that's ok, I'm probably going to reach out to a broker soon to try to expedite the process.

It used to be surrounded by farms and lush virgin forest. Now it's just pavement, codos, and dust. All that has changed the climate down there.

Unfortunately Fort Myers is going through a massive growth spurt because we have way more land to develop than the East Coast. Traffic here is a nightmare now. Lee County has added 80,000 new residents in the last year alone.

I have covered this before, many times.

All metro areas in FLORIDA are going to shit, more people and LESS roads, even JAX, which is not very desireable, has this issue now, and IMO Orlando is as bad as SE FLORIDA.

Here is the problems, no one can tell you how many people are in FLORIDA's metro areas, as the census is undercounted when you consider part-timers, those who were once part-timers but now live here more months than ever, foreigners, illegals, those hiding from the law, and a shit ton more of tourists.

For example, PBC has 1.533M as of 2023 according to interwebby.
Probably over 2M when you add my extras, and then throw in college students at FAU, PBA, PBSC, etc...

So, AGAIN, stay the **** out, we have no roads and housing prices and insurance premiums-both home and auto, are a RIP-OFF.

As a note of comparison, most metro areas up north, in blue states, have an OVERSTATED population, as they keep the dead folks counted for voting and federal tax allocation purposes.
For instance, wayne county has 1.7M people listed, the actual count is probably around 1M.
