Less than a couple hundred bucks for a plane ticket, get the dealer to pick you up at the airport, something I have done before, do the deal, drive back, see a couple sights on the way back

36 gallon fuel tank, say 20mpg......600mpg+ per fill up, so you should only have to fill up once and you'll still have fuel left. Figure $ 125 fuel, $ 100 or $ 200 for lodging if you sightsee a bit and break it up into a few days, say another $ 50/day for meals.....you could have a fun little one way road trip in your new sled for under $ 700, including a few museum tickets, or whatever else you might want to see on the way back. Cheaper if you just want to do one overnight.

Never ever ever use a broker, which is someone who does not own their own trucks but instead books unused space on other carrier’s trucks.

If it sounds dicey, it’s only because it is. Everything is fine until things don’t go according to plan. After that, both companies point the finger at each other. I speak from personal experience. There was a company which apparently changes its names every few years, located up on Long Island NY (they used to be called Autotrail Transport at the time). They ****ed me out of a few $$k bucks. Each company blamed the other.

Learn from my mistake. Or take your chances. It ain’t worth it trying to save a few hundred bucks in my opinion.

I did that with my 2005 C6. Flew to ATL and drove back home the same day.
The next Vette a 2006 I negotiated the shipping to my house from the same dealer in Atlanta.
