Don’t feel that one.

Felt the one a few weeks ago directly at the bottom of the mountain, though. It was 4.5, I think.

Strange how the earthquakes feel so much different on the mountain. But I guess it makes sense when you think about the energy moving differently through the mountain.

Better to be sitting on solid rock than on top of alluvial fill in a valley. Even when the epicenter is right under your feet you'll probably get less damage than someone miles away in the Jell-O bowl.

Yeah. It’s just a few jolts here. As opposed to the valley where it did feel like a jell-O bowl.

Actually, what’s weird is when I talked to my insurance broker about earthquake insurance he said, “You can get it. But no one on the mountain gets earthquake insurance.”

I still have it. Not getting it just seemed like tempting fate.

Actually, what’s weird is when I talked to my insurance broker about earthquake insurance he said, “You can get it. But no one on the mountain gets earthquake insurance.”

I still have it. Not getting it just seemed like tempting fate.













Been here for more than a half a century and never got earthquake Insurance. You're maybe the first. Oh wait you're from Michigan, they think we have 7.3 every week.

Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

We’ll see how much longer I keep it. Cost is pretty low relative to my wildfire insurance.
