Soaking is for outside. Bought a nice spa when I retired and still use it almost every evening.

People swear by freezing cold ice baths for health.
Not for me. |

Showers only since I was a teenager. Never understood washing one's face or body with the same water one's ass sits in.

Most people take baths to sit and relax in warm water.
Not to wash. |

I am right now in the process of having my guest bath tub ripped out and replaced with a shower.

Do you drain a jacuzzi after every time you use it or do you treat it like a pool and keep the water?

I usually do a hair conditioning treatment/mask while I am in the tub. So, it usually ends up being shower, bath and then shower again to rinse out the conditioner. |

I swim naked every day in the summer. Does that count? Think of it as a 38,000 gallon bathtub.

No only showers. They might be long and hot but its moving water. This is the way its been for the last 65 years.
FWIW we had over the course of 25 years a total of 3 hot tubs. They were outside close to the house. We have been in them with the temperature hitting -30F a couple times. |

Only when I have a lady over. It’s a large tub two stories up overlooking the river so it usually ends up being the starting point for a romantic evening. Light a few candles…

We installed an extra long 6' whirlpool tub, it's been used maybe a half a dozen times in 30+ years....Takes so much hot water to fill it up, the 50 gal.water heater struggle.....
Do an experiment, get a glass filled with water. Then pour some dirt in the glass, the dirt floats on the surface. Now stick your finger in and pull it out. You'll find the dirt is now covering your finger....That's what I think of every about bathing. I will shower AFTER a bathing, every time! |
