I keep everyones number in my phone, including ex's, the only numbers i ever have taken out of my phone are people that I had to remove from Naval service.

The problem with this and the idea of leaving the number in your contacts is that drunk dialing may become an issue. I guarantee if one of us drunks out there has a bad night, that X in front of a name is going to be invisible.

i dont have any exs calling as when i was messing around we didnt have cell numbers. I dont even have our house phone in my name. after 25 yrs or so of marriage i dont have these issues.

Why would I want to talk to anybody? Phones are old school. That is what email is for.... And if I really want to talk, I will email and ask you when is a good time to talk......

I don't delete for that very reason, but one got around that by using a cell belonging to someone else.

Sorry. I am just not one who likes to chit chat on the phone. Calling just to say "hi" is not something I would want to do. Now call and say, hey lets go do "x" or tell me something important, I will call you right back. But If you called "just to say "hi""... It will take 3 or more days for me to call back....

Mrs K...your post made me laugh. Why not just call and when they answer ask "Do you have a minute to talk?" Your post sounds like a movie where kids are using all the technology and still cannot communicate. I'll admit, though, I often email or text because it's a quicker method of asking short questions than calling and getting stuck on the phone, so I'm with you there.

I communicate just fine. I am just not a fan of the "chit chat"... When the phone rings (if it is even on) it interrupts what ever I am doing. So to call someone and ask "Do you have a minute to talk", I find rude. I send an email. "Call me when able".... Then I know I am not bothering them at a bad time. And if I am the one who wants to talk or ask something, I will answer the phone. My friends do the same thing. I would rather be doing something than "chit chatting" on the phone. That is why the forum works so well for me. It never interrupts me. And I only do it when I feel like it....

We almost never answer the door for the same reason. Unless we are expecting you, you are probably a solicitor. So why waste the effort to get up and answer the door for someone who is going to ask you to become a Mormon or donate money to them.....
