The one I drove was stickered at something like $36k. It had a security/backup sensor package for $700 that I wouldn't get. My friend said he could probably get it below $31k without too much effort. The only options I'm interested in are the premium interior, Brembo package, 3.73 gears and possibly HIDs if you could get them without a bunch of BS I don't want or need.

They aren't selling at MSRP right now. Not even close. If I was going to buy one I'd pit my friend against the Mullet in an interweb pricing duel.

The 2012's are going for well under msrp?
Admittedly I haven't kept up much with them, but I figured they were selling fairly well with the new 5.0.

Interesting...
My "need" for a 4 door is pretty much gone...

I almost brought home a dark gray GT a few months ago...I waited and got a new Harley instead.

I plan on buying an old pickup...having my construction company name painted on the side in an old school way...and let the company pickup (no pun intended) the cost of ownership.

It will be a great marketing tool in a small town...and would be fun.

Am I missing where he started talking about the leftover new 2011's with 0% financing and rebates?

I may have missed a year.
For some reason I thought the 5.0 was new for 2012.

I think Smearig telling someone else (at CF) to forget a 2011 and look at the 2012 may be where I got confused.

They aren't around here, not even close. The dealer I was at had several 2012s on the lot already.

If you haven't driven one you need to go check it out. They are still getting outsold by the Camaro for some unknown reason.

It does appear that there's a grand more factory money on the 2011s or discounted financing. I guess my point is that the cars are virtually identical so I wouldn't expect the dealers to be giving 2011s away like they were doing with 2010s last year. I'm sure Mullet will PM you the sticker if you're interested. My friend said he'd dig into the hold back on a 2012 so it's not like you'd even be paying invoice.

Everything you have said makes a lot more sense when I realized that the 5.0 was out in 2011.
