WSJ is reporting today that the kid shot at a funeral home and the people inside called 911 and told them the shooter was going to the school. 14 min went buy before ANY cops showed up. Uvalde is not that large of a town, it wouldn't take 14 min to drive across it. So WTF? Then the cops stood around waiting for a tactical unit. Every cop there (excepting the 3 BP agents that went in) should be stripped of their certifications and dismissed. Some of the cops were actually arresting parents that were demanding action, one woman was freed from the US Marshal's custody and then ran into the school to fetch her children. She showed more balls than armed and trained officers. Yep, when seconds matter the cops are 14 min away. Biggest question is Why weren't some of the teachers armed?

It is easy to "armchair quarterback" all of this in hindsight, but the real bullshit is them doing NOTHING. Better to do something questionable or risky than to stand down.

There's some pretty good stories about another BP agent grabbing a shotgun from his barber and attempting to clear kids, including his own, from the school. It's still hard to separate the wheat from the chaff, but I'm guessing some parents in Uvalde will be calling for some local LEO heads to roll. I actually hope that the radio transcripts will become available so that we can determine whether the orders came down the chain to wait it out. |

https://www.newsmax.com/newsfront/uv...27/id/1071809/ Border Patrol Agent Helps Rescue Daughter, Dozens More From Texas School A quick-thinking, off-duty, Border Patrol officer, armed with his barber's shotgun, helped rescue dozens of children and his daughter during the nightmarish shooting at the Uvalde, Texas, elementary school. The New York Times reported that Jacob Albarado was getting his hair cut when his wife Trisha, who teaches fourth grade at Robb Elementary, sent him an urgent text message. "There's an active shooter," she wrote. "Help." And she added: "I love you." As he got ready to run out, his barber loaned him a shotgun. Albarado then sped off to the school. Once there, he was told a tactical unit was forming to enter the section of the school where the shooter was. Albarado came up with a plan with other officers to evacuate as many children as they could. The Times said he led other law enforcement officers toward the wing where his daughter's classroom was. "I'm looking for my daughter, but I also know what wing she's in," he said, "so I start clearing all the classes in her wing." His wife and her students were hiding under desks and behind curtains. Their daughter, Jayda, who is in the second grade, was locked in a bathroom. Two officers provided cover with their guns drawn, he said. Two others guided dozens of screaming kids and their teachers out on the sidewalk. "They were just all hysterical, of course," Albarado said. He hugged his daughter when he finally saw her, but then went back to making sure the other children were safe. "I did what I was trained to do," Albarado said. Meanwhile, the White House is declining to weigh in on reports that police were slow to respond to the school shooting — perhaps even keeping some parents from running into the building to protect their children. The White House supports a thorough review of the police response, which reportedly kept the gunman in a classroom for around 40 minutes before he was fatally shot by U.S. Border Patrol special forces. |

No your fucking fairy tale is actually believing a democrat would actually do something to help out the schools
Chuck Schumer BLOCKS school safety bill—says 'gun legislation' is the answer "Not surprising that the Democrat leader would lie about the bill he blocked that parents of Parkland victims have been trying to pass for years," Sen. Ron Johnson said in response. Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer (D-NY) on Wednesday, in the wake of a mass shooting at an elementary school in southern Texas, has just used his powers to kill a new proposed school safety bill. The bill would have charged the Department of Homeland Security with establishing standards for best practices in the area of school safety, and to "collect clearinghouse data analytics, user feedback on the implementation of best practices and recommendations identified by the clearinghouse, and any evaluations conducted on these best practices and recommendations." According to Fox News, "after the horrific mass shooting at a Uvalde, Tex., elementary school that killed 19 children and two teachers, Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) asked for the Luke and Alex School Safety Act to be passed by unanimous consent." Schumer, however, commented publicly that he felt that the bill would lead to "more guns in schools," and believes that gun control legislation is the solution, saying on Twitter: "GOP Sen. Johnson just tried for a bill that could see more guns in schools—I blocked it. The truth: There were officers at the school in Texas. The shooter got past them. We need real solutions—We will vote on gun legislation starting with the Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act." Johnson immediately tweeted his frustration and criticism of Schumer, saying that the Democrats in the Senate and at other levels of government are looking for "wedge issues" and don't really want to solve the issue. "Not surprising that the Democrat leader would lie about the bill he blocked that parents of Parkland victims have been trying to pass for years. Dems aren’t looking for solutions, they want wedge issues that they hope will keep them in power. Sick." https://thepostmillennial.com/chuck-...-is-the-answer |

Well, Trump stating he would like to eliminate gun free school zones is a step in right direction. GOP Sen. Johnson just tried for a bill that could see more guns in schools—I blocked it. The truth: There were officers at the school in Texas. The shooter got past them. We need real solutions—We will vote on gun legislation starting with the Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act |

The officers at the school didn't go in because they weren't properly prepared. THEY WERE THE ONES THAT FAILED. they stayed outside the school for 40 minutes. What good is law enforcement if they don't do their job? They knew the possible dangers when they chose that profession. They FAILED. |

You know what's needed for school security? US Veterans . They have the combat experience and would not hesitate to keep the kids safe while eliminating the threat.
But once again you can count on the democrats to not do what makes the most sense. They have an agenda to kill the 2A |

There were no armed officers at the school that the shooter got past. At least according to the official DPS mouthpiece.
