Default I just don't have it in me anymore

to work out. I've been working out for about 13yrs. I started out at 22 being a handsome yet skinny standing at 5'11 135pnds and couldn't bench the bar with two 10's on each side. I grew into a handsome man at 5'11 and 175pnds benching max at 2 plates free weight on each side. I know some of you will think that still ain't shit but I was pleased with the way my body looked.

Past few years have gone downhill. Now I can't even do the same routines and 45min into the gym I'm burned out. I don't know what it is. Eating habits suck but never changed since day 1. I know it comes with age but damn this sucks. Any of you use to be good at something and now you just don't have it in you anymore?

Oh and sorry ladies no pix. Thought I would mention this so you all don't wait for it and get your hopes up.

I still hit the gym 3 times a week. Been going to Bally's for over 20 years.

At 45, I don't plan on stopping any time soon either.

Don't believe all of that crap about once you hit 40......50.
It's what you make of it. I turned 50 last year and I feel great. I work in the commercial construction industry so my body has been beaten up. I lift 3-4 times a week and finish every workout with a 30-40 lap swim. My diet is fair. I just don't eat much junk food.

If I take a week or two off I start to feel like S#!t. Mainly tired and body pains. You have to force yourself into some kind of physical activity.

Change up the routine to something short and intense. 45 minutes is a bit long--I've been aiming for 30 minutes.

I've been working out and hitting the weights for 15+ years and pray I'll be able to do it another 40-50+. I can't imagine not working out.

I know it's damn near impossible to find a good one, but what about looking for a workout partner? I started working out with a guy I met at the gym about 3 years ago and it's been great.

Age is an excuse. We have a guy who is 50 in our gym who can run circles around 95% of the people who walk in the gym. 35 is nothing.

Change your workout up entirely. Try P90X, or circuit training, or more cardio, or heavier weights, etc...

I was born with a body that is capable of a finite amount of physical activity before it is worn out and dies.

I'm certainly not going to waste it on exercise.

You should snort some charliesheen. You'll have more energy.

Actually alone the lines I was thinking. Make it about more than just looking good by joining a sports league. The sport itself is a workout and then if you still want to go to the gym, you will have a reason and a focus for improving.
