Default Best and Worst Career Decisions

Looking back on your career, what is the best decision you ever made and what is the worst?

I'm about 7 years into my career and have worked at two places as an IT software developer. I'd probably say my..

Best Decision: Leaving my old company for my current company. I've more than doubled by previous salary.

Worst Decision It's hard to say, but I'm starting to feel like I've stayed at my current job to long.

For the people who started their own business, did you ever feel happy when you were working for someone else?

I kind of reinvent myself every 10 years. I get stale every 7 years.
First job was family business working with a father I never knew was fantastic my father was a mentor and the hardest bloody worker in the world.
We grew our business from one service station to 5 24 hour sites with a turnover of 25 million in 1985. Doctors were earning 100k a year and I was 17 earning one thousand dollars a day profit. I did it for nearly 10 years and went on a euro trip before I nearly worked myself into a early grave. Smelled the roses in Italy come back and got out of the family business.
Myself and wife opened up a cafe in Melbourne and it was 5 days a week which was great but the wife got burnt out and we sold it after 7 years.
I bought a sports store and have been only working 25 hours a week for the last 9 years but hate it I have cabin fever I'm out on July the 1st can't wait.
I'm going to get into the building industry I'm getting things in place for that right now.
I have never worked for anyone I don't think I would last. I'm not hungry enough for the dollar anymore. I think I would get sacked the first day LOL.
Never shifted from my State and never will but I do like the U.S. I could see myself living there. Stewy
