6F this morning when i got up. Turned on the gas fireplace to compliment the inefficient heat pump and the house is sitting at 68 without the heat pump running.
I miss the deep snows and the cold of winter. I thought moving back to the mid west I would get the good snows to snow mobile and have fun, SW Indiana is not like that at all.

You can dress for the cold but you can only take so many clothes off to stay cool in the heat, until you get arrested.

Well Spence, if this makes you feel better, it is just above freezing here in GA, kind of crappy out this morning. Doesn't look like we will be getting anything but a little rain, and I think it is moving on out. Cold temps for the next few days and then back in the 60's by next weekend. It will warm back up in a few days in Miss. Oh, and you would need a rather large generator to power up your heating system. That would be a lot of juice..

15F here in DFW this am.

Larry I had a dream last night that I was surrounded by a bunch of kittens and I needed to get them in where it was warm because of approaching cold weather.

Kitties were warm and safe and sound this morning. I left a propane heater on in the workshop (on low heat) and an electric ceramic heater on it the bathroom at the shop (mainly to keep the water pipes from freezing). While it wasn't toasty warm in the shop, it was certainly comfortable.

I love your description of your dream last night!

-2* here yesterday morning, so yes, it's cold here too!

Got any space or portable heaters that you can place near you?
They will help heat a small area pretty well in a pinch.
