screw the money, screw the weather likes/dislikes, who has the very BEST life that you know of....???

ups and downs, but my overall average is ok.

Decent house, wife, cars. TVs, job, boss, child, family, band, and no serious illnesses other than an extreme case of AGE.

I don't think I have any enemies, my friends want me around.

It would be impossible to know who has the best life on this (or any forum). Mainly because if their life is so good or great, they would not have the need to "brag" about all the "cool" things they own or do. They would just do them and be happy. No need for "forum" members to "pad their ego". And we would not know about them

If folks knew my very humble start in life...dirt poor...dad died when I was 15 months old...

Then a long run with narcotics as a teen and 20something....

the cards I was dealt...I couldn't make a pair of 3's with a wish and a prayer...

But...by the grace of God...I was given the chance to make something of my life...that and my mom remarried a wonderful man who raised me...he taught me the carpentry trade...among other things...

I met an awesome lady...married & moved out of the big city to the FL panhandle...started my own biz...and have been blessed since.

It's not about money...truth is, the more I made...the less happy I was. So, I gave most of it away.

For my blessings in life...I praise Jesus every day...because I know I wasn't born with a winning hand.

I have 3 wonderful sisters...my step dad is awesome...a small group of lifelong friends...decent health...

A "cool" life...maybe at times...A humble and fulfilling life...you betcha.

Still in college, lives in the south with hot southern chicks with hot souther accents. He throws his cawks at hot chicks who deny him, but they still talk to him. They don't even call 911 or file restraining orders on him.

I'll have to respectfully disagree.

For many, it's not about bragging or padding ego...it's about sharing one's joy in hopes of inspiring others.

IMHO, those who regularly play the "braggard" card are just showing their jealousy. When they should share in the happiness of others and find personal inspiration in it for their own lives.

Example:
as a young man, I worked for many wealthy men...most who had beautiful homes......beautiful wives...nice cars/trucks/boats, etc. I never once had envy or jealousy over them. I found comfort in their happiness and success...knowing that, one day...with hard work...a little luck...and God's grace, I too could see those same blessings in my life.

Instead of seeing them as braggards or full of ego, I watched...listened...and learned. I looked up to them, not down at them.

To this day...in moments of quiet reflection...I often think about those men...and smile, as I had the opportunity to learn from them...and capitalise on the experience of them, sharing their happiness with me.

Geez, Lars.........Heavy stuff....I don't like getting mixed up in your threads, but I can relate to your off the cuff remarks...You say what other people want to say , but are puzzys, and won't.....After reading this thread, I see a little clearer picture of who you are, and I can respect that.

Truly happy people, are just that. Happy. They don't feel the need to go out of their way to "inspire others". Their happiness comes from within. And they have no need to project it on others. "Inspire others" ? What does that even mean? Are you trying to prove to others that happiness can be attained? What are you trying to inspire? It is not about bragging per se. It is about fulfilling a need. The question is, whose need are you fulfilling?Constantly reassuring that one is happy?

I am sure there are people on this forum who have plenty of money. Great family. Happy friends. And a wonderful life. But they don't need to broadcast that to others, because they are fully contents without the need to "inspire others".
