The problem with penny stocks is that there is no reliable, accurate source of information. Over the last decade or so, this has become more difficult.
The regulatory environment has placed increasing pressure on broker/dealers to protect investors from themselves. Consequently, most won't deal with these securities. |

Penny stocks are not heavily traded and it can be difficult to make anything on them as a result. The other problem is that because they are thinly traded and cheap they tend to be market magnets for fraud. They tend to get pulled into what is know as "pump and dump". An investor will purchase a large number of shares, talk the company and the stock up drawing "uninformed" investors into the stock. When the price of the stock has run up the investor sumps the stock. "Pump and Dump" is illegal.

Four Canadian entrepreneurs were in charge, and they did it for YEARS before getting caught. Misguided genius. They'll probably be running scams from inside the grey-bar hotel soon!
Not what you'd expect from polite  boys  Five Yankees are being charged with their part of the scam as well..... The American suspects in the penny stocks scheme are Gary Kershner, 72; Joseph Manfredonia, 45; Cort Poyner, 44; Songkram Roy Sahachaisere, 43; and William Seals, 51.
