I figured I would beat joecoool to the punch in outing yet another American company as the evil greedy assholes that they are.

This company:

Sources majority of physical goods from China, some of them in a factory that was recently caught violating almost every labor law imaginable.

Workers making XXXXX are forced to toil 13 to 15 hours a day, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 or 11:00 p.m., seven days a week, going for months without a single day off. Workers are at the factory 104 hours a week. There are mandatory 19-to-23 1/2-hour, all-night shifts before shipments must leave for the U.S. or Europe.

The workers are systematically cheated of half the wages due them, earning just US$36.55 for working an 89-hour week instead of the US$77.84 they were legally owed. Management cheats the poor workers of over US$100,000 in wages due them each month.

The workers handle potentially toxic oil paints and solvents without protective gear.

The workers sweat as they race to complete (XXXXX products) per hour and XXXXX in the 13-hour shift. The workers are paid less than one cent for each XXXX they complete.

Dorm conditions are primitive, with eight workers sharing each room, sleeping on narrow double-level bunk beds. The rooms lack water and toilets.

The cafeteria is filthy and infested with mice. The workers receive a thin rice gruel for breakfast.

The CEO's reportable pay from said company is .5% of the total revenue (this does not count travel or retirement benefits). For comparison, the evil Exxon CEO brings home less than .005% and GE's evil CEO brought home about .007%, a full factor of 10 less.

Between 2009-2011 they have laid off 20% of their American employees while continuing to increase the outsourcing of their physical goods that are sold here.

To top it off, the company had a total tax bill of $0 in 2011.

Disgusting.

Who is GE?

Ummmmm..... no.

...and GE's evil CEO brought home about .007%, a full factor of 10 less.

Not to mention GE is 1 of the few companies bringing manufacturing jobs TO America and investing in expanding here.

Most of GE's overseas facilities provide services and products to the areas in which they are located. They are not outsourced to China only to be imported and sold here for a larger profit. All GE appliances, etc are manufactured in either the USA or Mexico. The Mexico facility is on it's way out and those product lines are being brought back here... to Louisville, KY.

Funny, when you look at it by the numbers without the idealism of the left things start to look a little different.
