And your point is:willy:

Well … I guess if you’ve only waken up in the last 18 months, I can’t really expect you to understand. :drunk:

But those of us who’ve seen the train coming for the last 8 years aren’t standing on the track wondering; where’s all the noise coming from? :yesnod:

But until you can post a link pointing to that “fact” … I’m sure there’s some other FEAR that can be exploited. :leaving:

Medicare and Social Security are forms of Socialism for sure. On these two programs we pay taxes into the Federal Govt and upon retirement we get these benefits, the problem with these programs the Govt both parties have been spending our $$ on what ever they wanted, what a surprise and now that we are running in the red in these programs, the IOUs are worthless it seems our Govt's solution is to reduce benefits to Medicare beneficiaries for the first time since the program has been put into existence. Social Security has already been tweaked and looks like it will be again. These two programs are the biggest fleecing in the world not just America, it was all golden when the tax payers paid excess so our Govt could use it else where. What is the fix? The using of those $$ for other Govt needs to stop immediately for one. The others fixes will require to reduce benefits, this will happen with Medicare under Obama Care to the tune of $50 Billion a year. Social Security is another hot button that we will see how we reduce our benefits.

Tea Baggers are not the problem with these programs it is the Federal Govt and both parties here that fleeced us:cheers:

Look Guys … get real, intelligent individuals are not moved by cute labels like Obama Care, scary labels like Socialism, or pictures of Obama with a mustache that looks like Adolf Hitler. Only the easily impressionable and ill-informed are scared of things they can’t see or prove. Fleecing was going on at an epic scale long before 18 months ago; did you actually think we got to 1.9 Trillion Dept over the last 18 months? :skep:

My previous post was not about 18 months, it is about the complete history of Medicare and Social Security, these are Socalist programs. After 4 months of Obama Care being signed America is not liking what they are seeing from the bill, remember the last 2 years of the last Admin that you harp on Congress was controlled by the demos, the real start of the spending that is now out of control, so in two years of Obama we will add 3 trillion or close to it to the national debt, what was Bush's last year I will inflate a few billion and say it was 500 billion, both parties at fault here, not just him.

Socalism suc$s, during my service to my country I lived in countries that have this form of Govt or dictators and they really do suc$ and we are on the path to Socalism, quit spending my money, 3 trillion that we do not have is scary and to think as a country we have this leadership on top for two more years and he has no intention to stop the red ink, unless he uses the cover of a panel to raise our taxes. We are running out of the 53% of taxpayers money. Higher taxes equal less spending for the average American and the wealthly are a small part of America:cheers:

What shock jock Howard Stern, seems 1.5 Trillion Deficts has the world worried about us paying the bills, we are headed in the wrong direction, seems lots of Dems are starting to see this, oh they are going to be voted out and like everything else that is wrong with America this will also be Bush's fault, like it was in 2009 when I sliced my payroll by 2/3:cheers:

dude, you are hard to follow. punctuation is paramount if you want people to understand you. that aside, the new "shock jocks" are Beck.Limbaugh & Hannity, with a smattering of other "wannabe's" like O'Reilly. they feed off people's fears & it makes them rich. if the Dems are voted out, your precious Pubs will have a chance to do it their way. if they don't do any better than they did, they'll be out on their asses again. either serve the people, or :seeya: what a concept.gotta love it! only thing is, the shock jocks tend to brainwash people to promote their lucrative agendas.

Only the easily impressionable and ill-informed are scared of things they can’t see or prove. You bet I'm scared of what happens when the same style "leadership" that successfully led the state of Illinois to nearing the point of financial insolvency, is now running the USA with the same beliefs, ideals, and (likely) level of corruption.

You live there, I'm sure you don't need me to remind you of these facts.

I'm sure you are quite proud to be part of the only US state in a worldwide "10 government entities most likely to default" ranking (#8 - right behind Iraq). That's like besting California for the title of state with the highest debt/income ratio!

Can't much blame the Republicans for that achievement, they haven't come close to wielding power in your state for a couple decades now. Spend, spend, spend, borrow, borrow, borrow, tax tax tax. Everything will be better soon.

It's becoming tough to say which is the most liberal state in the US...NY, CA, or IL. :bilmem:
But no matter who is the ultimate winner, all have clearly shown their achievements in hard numbers on a balance sheet. Fiscally irresponsible is a massive understatement.

So why would I be scared? I've seen quite clearly what that brand of "leadership" has brought to your state (as well as the other two), and perhaps why I'd rather not see it spread to the entire country.

And maybe, just maybe, a few other Americans are thinking the very same thing these days.

If you wish to say we're scared, well you got one thing right.

Well at least you’re willing to admit you’re scared; I wish the rest of the Republican brain trust would admit the same without acting like a bunch wacko morons.

There are two things scared people can do … hide behind what is safe or boldly go where no man has gone before. I’m a Progressive … so by it’s an easy decision for me. Doing nothing is not an option for me, nor is being scared

BTW; I've actually lived in Illinois for 47 years and I'm doing great ... because in my world, the sky isn't falling. :yesnod:
