View Full Version : Things liberals seem to forget when demonizing the rich

1. Granted, a lot of wealthy people inherited some of their wealth. But liberals fail to remember that if they maintain or grow that wealth they have done so of their own hard work and/or smart decisions. Even the "trust fund babies" in many cases take of the the family business, start other businesses, or start charitable foundations (a luxury that those of us who HAVE to work don't have). They provide employment, large donations to charities, and increase the standard of living in the communities they do business in.

2. The American rich take the lion's share of risk in this country. Businesses fail, investments don't work out at times. Yes they write these rings off, and should be able to. If the rich in this country don't take risks, the economy shrinks, and unemployment rises. No amount of government stimulus will convince smart business people to take bad risks.

3. The rich, just by doing every day things, open themselves up to such an exposure of frivolous, pointless lawsuits, that its amazing some of them ever leave home. If you or I get into a car accident, our insurance pays, up to the max. If someone uber rich gets in the same accident, the chances of them being sued for some ridiculous amount is exponentially higher.

The left wants to kill the goose who laid the golden egg. What will they do when there are no rich left to start businesses, give large charitable donations, and pay the lion's share of taxes????

Stop trying to use logic when making points to liberals. If you can't make your point in terms of sunshine and rainbows, it is simply not going to get through.

my dad always told me: "don't work for a man who's pockets are not deeper than your own"

millionaires become (and stay) millionaires doing business and employing non millionaires...and there are ALWAYS crumbs left on the table for those wise enough to position themselves in the deal/job/gig...

those crumbs have been berry berry good to me. :seasix:
