View Full Version : Belafonte on Obama: He Doesn’t Deserve a Second Term, Lacks ‘Moral Compass’

If Matt Damon is disillusioned with The One, Harry Belafonte is downright dismayed with President Barack Obama’s first term.

The Calypso crooner didn’t hold back during a recent radio chat on “Smiley & West,” co-hosted by Tavis Smiley and Cornel West, even if a rebroadcast of the program snipped out Belafonte’s most punishing comments, according to The Radio Equalizer.

“My question is, what legacy will he leave, having the opportunity to serve under such hugely dramatic circumstances and had such a huge impact on the universal state of things … how could he have had such a splendid opportunity to do more than most presidents would have ever been able to do, and he let that opportunity slip away from him.

I’m very cautious of the fact that those who think he has some second agenda and only if he could be given a second term for us to see the new light, new things will be revealed, new efforts will be made to take us to a place other than where we’ve been and where we languish. I just don’t trust that. I don’t believe that’s a safe way and accurate way to look at this scenario. If there was the kind of moral compass serving Barack Obama the way we hoped, the moral force would have helped him make choices, the absence of that force in his equations, that barometer to guide him when he has to make these decisions that are hugely complicated, he should have come to the table with the things that would have helped us in this moment of crisis.”

Sounds like someone took that whole Messiah shtick a tad too seriously.

When he gets re-elected, and with the losers challenging him he's going to win in a landslide, you are going to see a far more liberal President.

At this point I really don't see him getting re-elected, and I also don't believe that he (socialist bastard) could get any more liberal than he is now.

Nobam IS a COMMIE, make no mistake about that, and yes he will go totally nutz on us if he is re elected.....there is a fair chance of that happening due to the communists running the so called educational system/colleges for decades giving out phony degrees in underwater basketweaving and the like....

just WHAT is so important about a degree in 'political philosophy' that its' worth being nearly 15 grand in debt over at age 27, when the only job my son can find is a auto mechanic?? all that focking money spent for THAT?? so he trying to make it in north Berzerkly Ca. on 18 bux/hour?? he did ace+ his test in Hybrid cars from ASE, the kid IS smart, and so they invited him to take the advanced course, not open to just anyone....but there you go, I see another loser there, because battery cars will never amount to a hill of beans, IMO....can't even build a flashlight worth a crap how in hell to do a battery CAR???

and I"ll take cold air, in FLORIDA, thank you very much....

:slap::sadangel:

my daughter, stuck in Baltimore Md. a filthy nasty town I wouldn't let a roach live in, the only area worth a flip is inner harbor....and so for 50k/year salary with Md. there is a slight chance they .gov there MAY forgive her 80 grand of college loans...80 freeking GRAND in hock at age 29, for a equally useless master's degree in social work or some such crap.....

Don't get me started, enough already....rant over.....:beat::shots:

I think he could be far more liberal.

He's been holding back and holding his tongue because he wants to get reelected.

When running for another term is out the window he'll go full bore Marxist and do as much damage to the future of this country as he possibly can.

And Joe will cheer him the whole way...

I know people who voted for him, but I don't know anyone who's happy with his presidency. It's going to be Romney.
