John Kerry -- Media should not give equal time to Tea Party - YouTube
The media in America has a bigger responsibility than it's exercising today... the media has got to begin to not give equal time or equal balance to an absolutely absurd notion...
So what you are saying is that the media should only tell what you believe to be correct... got it. Typical liberal douchebaggery. F**king idiots who are so self righteous that they think they have some clear vision of what is right and anything that opposes them should be silenced.
Seems pretty clear to me that he thinks that the media should only give airtime to what he (liberals) believe. Pretty hard to say his comments were taken out of context.

So what you are saying is that the news outlets need to give equal time to the 911 truthers?
Thats going to be a hell of a lot of time.
Equal time to the birthers too?
Not sure I agree.

No doubt that you think media coverage should be all liberal, all the time.
He wasn't talking about extremists with .001% of the population as is the case with birthers, etc. He was talking about not giving coverage to the Tea Party and other Republican points of view, which despite the fact that you might not like them, have a major following.
Big difference.

... and if the media did want to start reporting birthers, truthers, and the rest that is THEIR RIGHT TO DO SO. If you don't want to see that, it is your right to change the channel. It is not the job of a f**king politician to tell the media what he thinks they should report and what they shouldn't. Period.

If a conservative hears something he doesn't like, he changes the channel.
If a liberal hears something he doesn't like, he doesn't want anyone else to hear it, either.

Conservatives do have history of banning books they don't like...

So do Liberal and all other political or cultural groups.
Thats why we have the first and Second amendments.
The first gives you that right. The second allows you to defend that right.
