I completed a few minor mods, here is some pics. Custom made LS3 Supercharged badges, GM splash guards for the front (already had the rears), changed brake pads to ceramic, painted the brake calibers and added race mesh inserts for the widebooty QTRs.

Thanks, I needed the RatPack patch to look different from all of the other black Vettes around here.

Next mod post coming soon.

GB fever is spreading. :D

I need to find a better place to take some pictures.

Nice touches Jeff! The red calipers really sets the black off.

Calipers look great... what method did you use to paint them?

I just sprayed with cleaner, wire brush on the drill with some more sprayed cleaner. Calipers were pretty clean, only had to remove brake dust. Brushed on Duplicolor P/N BCP400. The paint is brittle, I had to touchup already, maybe next year I will have them powder coated for more durability.

I had them custom made by Austin Barnett, [email protected], great guy to deal with.

Wow so that's all brushed on... can yousee brush marks up close? Did you remove the caliper at all?

Did you use brake-clean? If so it is really bad for paint... best to wipe parts with acetone (after you used brake-cleaner) before painting.

I used brake cleaner to wash off the dust, wire brush then paint thinner to clean it up. I used the 1" sponge as my brush. I put some chap stick on the Corvette and the paint came off it easy with a razor blade. I put three coats on it one afternoon, let it sit overnight and put another coat on it in the morning.

I decided to go with the GM OEM splash guards.

Did you put a clear coat on it?

Looks Sharp, how do you like the Michelin Tires? Are those Stock rims? I see you are running 345/30 in the rear.

No, they glossed up as the paint dried. Actually, it turned out better than I expected.

Thanks, I like the Michelin PS2s much better than the GY runflats. No, not stock rims, custom order Z06 reproductions for the offsets I needed (I like to look of the Z06 wheels). With the SC I needed bigger tires on the rear and installed installed a widebooty kit (all GM Z06 parts) to be able to get the 345's on, still have no problem lighten up the 345's but i need to upgrade the drive train before getting stickier tires.

Jeff,

I had a local guy power coat mine. They turned out great! Let me know if you decide to go that route and I'll give you his contact info.

Thanks Tom, I am hoping the paint will hold up for the summer, I think it would be a good winter project for next year.
