Interesting to see that the LS1 in my '03 vert has the same airbox lid as my '01 Z06 did w/ the small hole on top. Older LS1s had no hole, and the '02-'04 Z has the big hole.

Swapped the Venom from my Z06 to the new vert. Cleaned it up and re-oiled the filter etc. I also setup the air pump line to attach to the bottom of the filter and used a spare piece of air pump hose I had to make a straight OEM looking connection vs. twisting/bending the stock tubing.

Butt-meter approves... car will smoke the tires from a 1st gear roll vs. just a little chirp before. Exhaust sounds a little more aggressive but nothing drastic :cheers:

For the record I never said I wasn't going to mod it! I said I was going to do the basics with parts I allready owned and had in the garage :) Only thing's I've purchased for it are the following:

1. Kewl Auto painted front plate surround
2. Used Window Valet
3. OEM C5 Z06 screens

That's it :) But it will get some Koni FSDs and Z06 sways... all parts I allready have. Oh and a C6Z shifter and gauge bezels which I allready have!

The big purchase will be nice wheels wich will wait until yeller finds a new home.

I've seen all the work that went into the Z06 over at CF, so why are you selling it?...if you don't mind me asking

I've had it for 7 years and I'm always doing something to it. I don't need a trackable Corvette anymore since we've got the Panoz so I wanted to get a loaded vert to really drive.

I had a mustang Cobra vert for 5 years prior to the Z06 and have always really liked verts. Then got bitten by the track bug and got the Z06.
