Get it over with, and then I hope he is "head down" working all the massive issues we now have...

Sounds risky, Mrs. Lincoln.
DJT does not yet have a good handle on security resources.

That’s precisely what I was thinking when I first read about this yesterday.
The USSS is not on his side yet, assuming they ever will be. At any rate, it’s a safe bet that they are no more concerned for his well being than they were in Butler, PA or his own golf course.
There’s just no damned need for this, other than pure alpha male posturing.

You don't know that.

You don't know that.
And neither do you.
However, there have so far been two failed assassination attempts, during one of which, the assassins bullet made contact with DJT’s body. The detailed circumstances of both say that the current Secret Service team doesn’t give a shit about keeping him alive, unless something has radically changed in their mindset.
And I seriously doubt the election results would have accomplished that. In fact nothing but a bloodbath of firings within that agency would do so, in my opinion.

I think it's foolish of Trump to place himself in harm's way like this. He literally has millions of rabid Democrats who want to see him killed in public.
Dumb. ****ing. Move.

This is probably their last best chance of making sure that he stays out of the White House permanently. And this time around, I’ll bet they find a ****ing professional that knows what they’re doing about putting rounds on target, rather than leaving it up to some amateurs.
I’ve got a bad feeling about this.

I don't think it's a wise idea or even necessary, then again, President Trump isn't the norm. It does seem a bit weird though.
And neither do you.

It’s been reported that the SS has stepped up their Trump security since Butler and more so since the election.

If they wanted to take him out a rally at this point is not the only option. And an indoor venue is less.
He’s out in public everyday and a potential target everyday. No reason for the rally to be the only option.

I love it. But I’m a Trump fan and I enjoy his rallies. I know he does as well. It’s a great way to connect to the people.
I bet you he will have a message of unity. :yesnod:
My concern is not just for Trump, but for all the people that will show up. Talk about a target rich environment for the TDS afflicted denizens of D.C. They're already violent, imagine what they will do to throngs of Trump supporters they KNOW are unarmed. Shit, these people assaulted a US Senator, Rand Paul, right out in public, and Rand was presumably guarded by some kind of Capitol Police presence. What do you think those people will do to random Trump supporters? What do you think Capitol Police will do to the Trump supporters? Does anyone here really believe the D.C. or Capitol Police will lift a finger to help or protect Trump's people?
And that's assuming this doesn't become another false flag situation, with the government planting instigators and provocateurs to stir violence....as is tradition in D.C.

If I had to guess, I would bet that he will try to name every single senator and representative that he thinks might not toe the maga line… and focus voters’ attention, and put them in the crosshairs to be primaried out of their seats if they don’t follow along and do the mandate that the voters gave him. But that’s just a hunch

I'd be more concerned about an event during the walk down Pennsylvania Avenue...assuming that is on the agenda.

I've been to an indoor venue like this with a POTUS speech. Very tight security.

I took my Mom to his 2016 rally in The Woodlands, a northern suburb of Houston. Hours long line, then a SS metal detector and bag check for the ladies. Back then, anyway, it looked like the security outside was locals and DPS, who were great, very laid back. The line was literally hours long, so the people we were in line with insisted I take Mom up to a place where she could sit down, closer to the front, and said they'd pick us up when they got there. While we were waiting, a trooper asked Mom if she wanted a cold drink and to sit in his cruiser for a while, to cool off, as it was scorching hot, to which Mom agreed. Trooper could not have been any nicer. Our group eventually made it to the front and picked us up, and we went in. Afterwords, we were walking in the skybridge between the hotel where the event was and the parking garage when the deputies there told us we had to clear the skybridge so Trump's motorcade could pass underneath. OK, no problem. We were then heading toward the garage when they made a field decision, I guess assessing an old lady and her adult son helping as no threat, and let us stay, so we got to see the whole motorcade literally pass right under us. Nice.

Agree.
But the problem is these purple senators like Collins. Not sure we can get a MAGA republican elected in Maine for example.
He’s a different cat and also has 9 lives .. he has a purpose for this event even though it doesn’t seem smart. But I think he uses it to expose the senate adversaries

Every time Trump does something that the conventional wisdom says is not smart ends up being genius.
Not sure about 9 lives but I do believe he has the hand of God on his shoulder.
