A bill that requires all sheriffs to report to Immigration and Customs Enforcment (ICE) and cooperate with their detainers passed a veto override vote in the North Carolina House and Senate and became law Wednesday.

ICE bill becomes state law before Trump takes office, vows to conduct mass deportations.

We should be focusing on our schools, hospital, jails, prisons, etc., where illegals are encountered. Make the parents prove legal status of themselves and the kid. Where illegals are discovered sucking taxpayer money, they should be grabbed and booted. Let them come to us.

And while we are doing that, we need to work with our farmers to make sure there's a current day 'bracero' program where Mexican seasonal FARM workers can come, work, and go, without harassment from our government. Thanks to mechanization, we don't need nearly as many of those folks as we did back in the 1950's, but we still need some, and they shouldn't be skulking in the shadows. Make it easy for them to come and go as they are needed.

There's already check points in a number of places. In SoCal on the 15 north between Fallbrook and Temecula is such a point. It's there north if the border by about 40 miles because the mountains around the area are rather hard to cross and the freeway us a known passage point.

Having had long hair most of my life, I've been endlessly stopped, checked and harassed by police thinking I was some sort if of drug dealer or something. What's good enough for me is good enough for everybody.

Going after employers of illegals would probably help too. Where I live, the meatpacking industry and roofing, are two businesses that thrive on illegal labor.

My wife worked at a clinic that served the meatpacking industry and they had multiple people sharing S.S. numbers. The Doctors would use separate files for them, so they were probably getting paid on the side, as well.

Put some owners and their support networks, like those Doctors in jail and watch self deportation take off.

I just had to send a crew away for showing up at dusk and trying to finish my roof in the dark. Apple Roofing is a big company around here but they are a nightmare to deal with and not just having guys hanging shingles in the dark. They sub everything out and their subs are 99% non-English speaking so very likely illegal and they work them like slaves.

Hindsight is 20/20 and I would never contract with them again. FTR, we had a lot of crazy strong storms this summer and construction companies, including roofing, had huge leverage over property owners.

I used to have really long hair too, when I was 20. Then I grew up and got over myself and moved on. Sounds like you could have had a much easier time had you simply kept your hair shorter.

Except that having long hair made me money. I worked at the original RenFaire, was involved in music and ling term owned and coached a fencing studio. Literally every time I cut my hair short it cost me money. A short haired fencing coach is nothing more than another jock. A long haired one has an interest in preserving the historical aspects of swordplay. It wasn't just my observation, many much more advanced Mastroes than I also saw the pattern.

In addition, why is it fine for every other twat on the planet to dress and groom as they want....except for white guys. Worst was a middle manager who was black with dreads telling me my hair looked unprofessional.... F'em all.
