There is video on this but I haven't found it yet

President-elect Donald Trump isn’t messing around. His first major policy statement since his landslide victory outlines his plan to restore free speech. This fundamental right has been diluted by federal officials who have worked closely with tech executives to suppress views they do not like.

“If we don’t have free speech, then we just don’t have a free country. It’s a simple as that,” Mr. Trump explained in a video last week.

Documents uncovered through lawsuits and released by X owner Elon Musk reveal how agencies such as the FBI, Department of Justice and Department of Homeland Security worked closely with social media platforms such as Twitter, YouTube and Facebook to remove content they labeled “misinformation” or “malinformation.”

For instance, doctors who questioned the efficacy of COVID-19 vaccines or the wisdom of lockdowns during the coronavirus panic were cut off from the public conversation. Anyone expressing thoughts contrary to the conventional wisdom — as determined by the Biden-Harris administration — might be algorithmically silenced in a process known as “shadowbanning.”

“The censorship cartel must be dismantled and destroyed, and it must happen immediately,” Mr. Trump said.

The next commander in chief said he intends to sign an executive order on Jan. 20 banning federal employees from doing anything that impedes lawful speech. This shouldn’t even be necessary, considering that “order” already exists: the First Amendment.

But bureaucrats sometimes don’t always allow the constitutionality of their actions to get in the way. To combat bureaucratic obstructionists who might try to evade the forthcoming directive, the Office of Management and Budget will ensure there is no funding for federal activities that suppress speech.

In addition, Mr. Trump says he will identify and fire anyone who participated in this illegal activity. Private companies and organizations that went along with this are also in the crosshairs and will have to deal with investigations of whether their actions constituted illegal in-kind contributions to Democratic campaigns.

Republican House committees will be busy dashing off document preservation orders to ensure responsible parties don’t escape justice by shredding evidence before Inauguration Day. Such conduct would be a direct violation of the federal obstruction statute.

The most ambitious goal on Mr. Trump’s road map is passage of legislation clarifying the scope of the Section 230 immunity that social media companies enjoy.

In the late 1990s, Congress insulated the nascent technology platforms from lawsuits to promote their growth. It worked. The companies were able to build monopoly positions in the marketplace, but they are now abusing their immunity to advance political agendas.

“From now on, digital platforms should only qualify for immunity protection under Section 230 if they meet high standards of neutrality, transparency, fairness and nondiscrimination,” he said.

Proving Mr. Trump has learned the lessons of his first term in office, he will also pull the plug on government funding for nonprofits and universities that contribute in any way to the “authoritarian project” to blacklist citizens who express thoughts distasteful to the ivory tower elite.

The ban on university research funding would last five years, and “maybe more.” Also, members of the intelligence community would have to wait at least seven years before being eligible to take a job in private companies that handle sensitive personal data.

This plan demonstrates Mr. Trump knows how to get things done this time. Democrats won’t know what hit them.

With all the stuff Trump is doing it would be nice to see anything hidden away in regards to UFOs. Makes no difference what it proves or disproves let the people see it!

He should be soliciting whistleblowers to gather proof of the various government officials that actively squelched free speech. We know from the Twitter files that Twitter and the others were actually paid to remove posts to their platforms. Everyone involved in that process is guilty of actual crimes and needs to be perp walked out in handcuffs and prosecuted.

He won't have to. Now that Patriots who happen to work for Fed.gov know that Trump has their backs, the flood gates will open.

If Trump does only 3 things the next 4 years it will be an epic feat:

1. Immigration - his new border czar will fix that
2. Economy - Trump's biz acumen will work for that with the right help
3. Global unrest - a tough one and a never-ending issue - that might be his rubicon

We'll see...

I believe he does all three. And number 3, especially the middle east... if he gets that region under a peace agreement, it along with a successful domestic administration will land him on the black hills granite. :yesnod:

Trump cuts off the funding from Washington D.C. to Tehran. Trump cuts off funding to the Taliban, and hopefully to Pakistan, too. No more "released funds", no Obama style pallets of cash shipped, and sanctions being reinforced will make Iran less able to fund their proxy groups. Israel keeps going crazy in Gaza for a couple more months, then comes the outcome. Trump announces that's it, we aren't paying for any more and Israel needs to shut 'er down. The US refuses to pay to rebuild Gaza, Israel won't pay for it either, and the Muslim world, Egypt and others are faced with a choice of being flooded with Gaza refugees no one wants, or paying to reconstruct themselves.

Muslim countries choose to pay for the rebuilding themselves rather than be flooded with Gaza refugees who will destroy their countries, as long as they have control of the area. Do you want your house and business rebuilt? Roads and bridges rebuilt? OK, we're going to pay for it, but you have to stop acting like animals. Act up, and the money train stops.

Resume working on the Abraham Accords. Trump the businessman, channels his inner Ron Paul, and understands that trade and tourism are the precursors to actual peace.

And tell Zelinskyy to piss up a rope....force a cease fire and then an agreement; "Art of the Deal" stuff.

Anyway, Trump's staff/cabinet picks are starting to look like the Justice League. I bet he isn't so naive this go-round about how deep the swamp goes.

Which is why I don't understand why you are so down on Elon. Trump is showing you right now with his "Justice League" picks that he's putting competent and motivated people in positions they can positively effect change in. No more Jeff Sessions, no more Chris Wrays or Gina Haspels, and hopefully, no Mike Pompeo.

The D.O.G.E. is a fun meme, but Elon has demonstrated competency in evaluating a business and paring it down to make it run efficiently, as he JUST DID with Twitter. I agree, there are more roadblocks when it comes to government agencies and departments, but Elon and the same engineers who were able to cut 80% of the payroll from Twitter and have it run arguably better than it did before, can and will make recommendations that will make it easier to propose and actually get through the big budget cuts the US needs to stave off insolvency. Reports are that Ron Paul will be involved, too.

If Trump can herd cats and get the Congress to push through a budget that actually CUTS spending for a while, then blowing out a bunch of communists and useless hangers on is theoretically possible. His department head picks take those reduced budgets and start making the necessary cuts.

"Hey, Bob, it's not that you're an America hating communist, it's simply a RIF. Sorry to see you go, good luck in your future endeavors."
