He's super intelligent and is a uuuuuge proponent of the 2nd Amendment and is very open that his 2nd Ammendment is there to protect his 1st Ammendment -- "so, try to come and take'em!" as he says.

Through the years have seen him play a number of times and it's always uplifting and patriotic. He starts out playing the Star Spangled banner

Have a friend who retired out of managing some major bands and worked with him many times. He said Ted's one of the most intelligent people he's ever met, and the whole public persona is a well thought out act.

Not sure he needs the aggravation of becoming a politician....
