I gave a good tip at a comedy club in Lexington only to notice later on they already included the tip in the drink bill. The club was dark and I was having a good time with family so I didn’t notice it until we got back to the condo.

Only three of us and they still added in the tip. I won’t make that mistake again. I usually have a close estimate in my head before I get a restaurant bill.

I still open doors for those less agile or footgifted than myself. Including women pushing strollers, older folks than myself, or anyone else who looks like they are juggling too much.

Morton's in Troy. When we go to Hyde Park in Birmingham I cannot imagine where they squirrel the cars away, they just run away, disappear and come back in 10 minutes.

I never valet when self-park is an option, even if it is free.
I never valet my cars, none of those punks can handle man pedal.
When I valet with wifey's car, I will tip, but only one tip.

I have nephews who were valets in their younger years, they have told me ALL the horror stories, they do not park cars, they test drive the nice ones.

NEVER, EVER valet unless mandatory.

Valet is never really mandatory. I would choose a different restaurant/venue or take public transportation before handing my car keys over to a valet.

It was once for me, a steakhouse in downtown HWOD, FL,,, then again I could have parked at the muni garage, which was at least three blocks away.

I never went back, and, as said, much easier to take the wifey's car.

Another time I went to the gaylord hotel in ORL, wifey was there with two daughters in a national dance competition, I showed up on last day.

They told me only valet at the front entrance, where they must have had a staff of 50 grabbing cars.
I found a manager, he directed me to the back, back parking lot, I got my 5,000 steps in that day.

Many city hotels have mandatory valet parking. The have to park cars more like on a ferry than a regular parking lot.
