The most important thing about hospitals is to....get out. It's where all the sick people are, and you don't want to get sick.

Update:
Sill in the hospital as of 5/18/24. My white blood cell count was too high for them to let me go just yet, and I still have not pooped, only farting. Talking to the doc, I'll probably be going home tomorrow. A week in the hospital is no fun. The only good news out of all this my other organs are in excellent condition when I had the CT scan and MRI. Curious to see how much weight I've lost during this time frame.

Opioids combined with not moving around cause that. Your first BM will probably feel a lot like Barack having 'date night' with Big Mike. See if they can give you some polyethylene glycol or something else for constipation. You really need to get moving again, if you know what I mean.

Keep up your spirits, and get well soon! And since you've been there a week, you are qualified to take pics of the hot nurses without looking like a creeper. Just explain it's for your car forum. Rules are rules.

That can be a bit tricky. Your system will take some time to balance bile since your GB is gone. It will now dump directly into your intestine which will cause "gastric distress" for a while and will be more prevalent the rest of your life.
