That may be a little too philosophical for the barn.

Right now I’m just putting in shade plants around the yard. Had some major hardscaping done on the yard and I’m finally able to do some permanent planting.

Next year, I’ll try some vegetables that can tolerate partial to mostly shade, as that’s the majority of my yard. I’ll have to do some raised beds because the soil here isn’t great.

I’m thinking about getting either Lomi or the Mill Kitchen Bin for composting to supplement the soil. It’ll also save me from having to separate it out into the green waste bin. I’d do outdoor composting but they seem to attract bears (according to some neighbors). 🐻

Sex, drugs, rock 'n roll, gender, the media, marriage, medicine, the traditional family, culture, gun ownership, crime, the courts, policing, the military, the weather/climate, energy, the entire educational system, banking, sports, nicotine, alcohol, entertainment, the fashion industry, comedy, money printing, auto industry, social media and most of the internet, advertising, corporations, and probably a hundred other things I can't think of at the moment. It would be easier and shorter to list the items that have NOT been politicized.
The left is brilliant at controlling the narrative. It starts with the perception that they care, whether it be about peoole, climate, poor immigrants, and everything else. The Republicans and conservatives are always on the defensive since they are perceived as the ones who are cold and only care about money. It's nothing to do with reality, the dems are the biggest money grubbers out there.

Photosynthesis requires CO2. You breathe it out when you talk. Plants grow when you talk to them. Very simple science.

It would probably be better for those folks to simply make the choice to not interact with each other, unless they can do so with some modicum of respect.

Not to get political (pun intended), but that's probably easier for me, because my whole life I've been treated like the autistic retarded kid by EVERYONE when I tell them I'm libertarian. That kind of forces you to try and get along with people, they already think your weird as shit.

Soil here is all sand and gravel . . . thanks, Glacier-From-15,000-Years-Ago.

I must need glasses. I read that as Milf Kitchen Bin and wondered how it had anything to do with composting.

The problem with threads going political is that most who go political do not realize they went political until someone advises them that they went political.

I have bricks that were placed all over my yard by previous owners. My plan is to dig them up and make a compost station like this. All the stuff to be composted goes in the center and eventually becomes part of the soil.
