Take a good look at Victory before you buy one. I hear they're a little underpowered. Not really bad, just not as smooth on the power as some others.

The styling on a few of the Victory models is pretty bizarre. When you see coming at you on the road, you immediately know it's Victory by the front fairing. It's freaking W I D E.

A friend of mine has one of these. Tons of power.

The Rocket III is a monster, 2300 cc. Big bike. Two of my friends just bought new Victory cruisers. I have a older Vic and I love it.

It's not...and the ride quality along with the driveshaft make it an incredibly comfortable ride.

Have been contemplating the triumph rocket 3, but would like something with more bells and whistles, primarily a stereo. Not sure if one can be added to the triumph.

The issue is i am 6'6". I don't want to have my knees in my chest or amrpits. No crotch rockets. A good friend is trying to sell me a 2001 BMW K1200RS, he is tall as well and says it is very comfortable to him. To me, it looks too much like a crotch rocket posture. and doesn't have a stereo etc.

I spent about a couple hundred miles on a yamaha 100 silverado this weekend. Definitely not the bike for me. Ass was way too sore after about 50 miles.

Also needs to be comfy for the wife.

I think a gold wing would be nice for the highway, but too much for riding around town casually.

what ya got?
For comfort and bells & whistles you need a touring bike. And if a little guy like me has no problem riding a full dresser around town, you definitely wouldn't.

Also, not sure if you're aware, but Harley's top touring bikes now have 6.5" nav systems, water cooling, linked ABS braking, etc.

The BMW above is also a good choice.

I would stay away from Victory and especially Indian as they're even more overpriced than other brands, and Indian isn't yet proven.

No vibration issues except at idle, since the engine/transmission/swingarm unit is isolated from the frame with rubber mounts. You'd only lose your hearing if you changed the pipes, since stock Harleys are quieter than most motorcycles. No issues with oil leaks on any of my Harleys. It's not the 1990s any more.

The Goldwing is also a good bike. But once it's optioned up to match the H-D Ultra Limited, it's $3,000 more expensive. You'd have to decide if the higher engine power is worth $3,000.
