CHINA Carbs.....???

according to a couple of threads over 'THERE' in the old C3 section, LARS seems to have a complete condemnation of the China import Q jets....

and so the thread also laments they have junked out any 'new' replacement carbs.....so without KRAZY knowledge like LARS has, it's about impossible to get one to run decent there are TWO long threads on this ......

and SO, I have a 'new' Edelbrock AFB and intake on my 350 now, been on there for about 1.5 years......

it seems to run ok, but the MPG sux, of course......

I just don't have the energy or enthusiasm for putting the DPFI on the car again....so the AFB has existed longer than I thought....

SO I suppose that AFB that looks new....is in fact a China import..??

How many miles do you put on your Frankenvette, annually? After all the trouble you had getting it to run right, I wouldn't tempt fate. Whatever you think you'll save in fuel costs will be offset not only by the cost, time and aggravation of replacing your current carb set up.

If it's running OK for you, just enjoy the Sunday drives and leave it at that. It's not a c-5 or c-6 that will get high 20's on the highway due to that tall 6th gear. It just isn't.

Or you can join DJ and buy a Volt, if spending money on gas is that (pun intended) revolting to you.
