After dealing with some of the crap I have for the past year and half, I don't think I would be too forth coming on anything. Hell I don't even care if they show their badge I wouldn't be opening the door and I certainly wouldn't be inviting them in my house.

Exactly. The cops, SWAT team and sheriffs office know me as a solid guy. I've worked with them in the past doing public outreach.

My stance has nothing to do with the specifics of the visit. I don't answer questions from ANYONE who comes to my door unannounced. Just because you show me a badge doesn't mean you can start a file on me. But if you are in a jam and share with me your mission, if it is a matter of public safety, or concerns my family's safety, I'll support you all day long.

This guy ambushed me - didn't state the nature of his investigation and whipped out a file folder and sorted asking questions ABOUT ME.

I have the Right to go about my business without answering questions from the government concerning my identity or anything else.

I don't assume. BATF is not going to contact you for a "general investigation". They have their ducks in a row before contacting an innocent citizen. (Leg work done by local LEO's, possibly).

Different neighbor. He was quiet and I had little interaction with him. He was one of three cops living next to us.

Those neighbors have grown up considerably. No more drama. Of course I run a secure operation here. If they fart, I know about it.

Beretta PX4 Storm subcompact. .40. Two mags. Sometimes a 511 ATAC L2 if it's dark. Kramer and Safariland for OWB. Crossbreed supertuck for IWB.

Sometimes I carry my Beretta 96 also in .40. But it's pretty heavy. It's the military police model - I forget the designation. Way better gun than the PX4.
