Dal's are an active breed. Not "Hyper" like so many people claim. They used to run with horse drawn carriages, and are capable of covering a lot of distance without getting tired.

Yeah, that. My terrier was off the walls up until the beginning of the end, and he had to be on a leash at all times. I'm not looking for a dog that will be crazy for the next 13 years. I'm curious to find out if Dalmatians are a breed that you need to keep active all day long.

No, but they do stay in puppy mode plenty long. My wife says it's like having a house full of toddlers.

The biggest thing is training. Properly trained Dal's make great pets.

Plus the "But I hear they're bad with kids" argument is BS.

Yesterday. Lizzy on the last leg of her relay. Leg 8
Apparently, this over the road trucker is a friend of a friend deal who heard about Lizzy and volunteered to take her on her last leg.

Great effort everyone did. I wonder if it's traumatic for the dog to be following around a new person she doesn't know every few days.

I haven't heard there was any problem with Lizzy so far. I imagine she's being treated like a queen considering her situation.
