Yep....we pickle most, fry a lot, smother some.
I am not a big fan of smothered okra, so, it's used sparingly when cooking, and set as a side for those that want a lot.

Oh...and...I awake to Louisiana mountains on many mornings, not all, but many.

Well I put in my notice today. HR Manager said they'd like to explore opportunities for my continued employment. I guess I'll listen to what they have to offer.

Quitting or retiring? If the latter, you hold all the bargaining power, use it wisely. That's where I was mid-2020.

What's the difference? The company doesn't offer a traditional retirement plan, just a 401K so if I'm quitting it means Ill look for another job after, if I'm retiring I won't.

I don't have any plans to look for other work after leaving here. One never knows though, I might go back to the Airport part time just cause I enjoy being around aircraft.

So really retiring. That's where I was mid-2020. Gave notice and got a call from the CEO the same day. He wanted me to stay and start up a new division of the company. I said I wasn't the person any more to do that and I'd only agree to work part time. He said I could be a consultant, but forming an LLC and invoicing them didn't appeal to me. I said I'd agree as a part-time, hourly employee with no benefits and gave them the hourly number I'd work for, plus conditions if they wanted me to travel. They readily agreed and it's worked out well for both of us - although I intend to actually retire at the end of the year.

Morning all. I hope everyone is having better luck than me. Neighbors bought I used STi with supposedly a new motor. They tried to start it on Saturday and the batter was dead. I laughed. Then they got it fired up and it had a noticeable knock. I made a "that's a Subaru" comment in my head.

Well 10 minutes later I take my Shelby out and get a Service Charging System warning. Battery is done. Then today I go to ride my motorcycle to work and the battery is dead. WTF?

Battery tenders, dude.

I have them on my bike. C3, and the bronco if they sit longer than 1 week.
The newer Fords (both the EdgeST I had, and the Bronco) will only last 2 weeks before shitting the bed (Freakin FoMoCo monitoring every little thing, spy ****ers).

I know. I need to get some. This battery lasted over 6 years with no tender, Utah winters, and sitting for months at a time. Can't complain too much.
