They did something creative here in NM. They dropped the dollar amount to $500 for a felony. Basically, no more misdemeanors or wrist slapping. It's automatic.

That's not a bad price for that cut. Typically it's $20/ lb here (although I've gotten it for half that on sale). Must be a shitty neighborhood.

I'm not sure if I am agreeing or disagreeing with you here, but what he is trying to say is that since they have legalized so many common crimes like shoplifting, their "crime rate" is way down. If they revoke ALL criminal laws, the crime rate would drop to zero, but I'm not sure that's a good thing.
